When the trumpet plays, the heart dances! With the trumpet, births are celebrated, weddings take place, victories are honored... As such, it is an inseparable part of the tradition of the Serbian people and the art of music-making.
The event "Crnorečje in Song and Dance" represents a pre-competition for trumpeters from eastern Serbia vying for participation in the Dragačevski Sabor Trumpeters' Assembly in Guča. It is one of the significant tourist and cultural events of this region.
It is held on the first weekend of June, offering visitors a traditional delight: distinctive gastronomy and local specialties, folk customs, and traditions combined into one event.
Within the event, there is an exhibition of local craftsmanship and traditional dishes called "Golden Hands of Crnorečje," as well as demonstrations of old crafts, sale of handicrafts, and souvenirs. Throughout the festival, folk ensembles from the Crna Reka region perform, and part of the program includes a competition for flutists from eastern Serbia.
