Lazar’s Canyon is not only a challenge for nature enthusiasts but also a paradise for explorers. With over 70 caves hidden within its rocky walls, it presents a mysterious world beneath the surface. Among them, Zlotska or Lazar’s Cave reveals the uniqueness of stalactites and stalagmites, creating a natural underground museum..
This area is steeped in history. Inspired by the beauty of Lazar’s Canyon, explorer Jovan Cvijić ventured into its depths, leaving his mark in the scientific field.
Home to over 720 plant species and abundant wildlife, Lazarev Canyon shelters rare plants and animals such as Crimean pine, yew tree, Serbian ramonda, as well as chamois, golden eagle, tawny owl, and peregrine falcon.

Location:
It is located near the village of Zlot, 18 km from Bor (between the slopes of the eastern Kučaj - Mount Malinik and the karst plateau Dubašnica).
How to Get There:
To reach Bor, take the A1 highway exit at Paraćin towards Zaječar, then take road 36 through Čestobrodica. To reach Lazareva Cave, located at the entrance to Lazarev Canyon, take road 37: Bor - Brestovačka Banja - the village of Zlot. In the village of Zlot, switch to road 392, which will take you directly to the cave. The drive will take you about 25 minutes from Bor to Lazareva Cave.
