The trumpet accompanies births, baptisms, weddings, and celebrates victories... As such, it is an integral part of the tradition of the Serbian people and the art of musical performance.
The event "Sounds of the Trumpet from Timok" has been held since 2013 as a pre-competition for the Dragačevski Sabor in Guča. In addition to the competition, in the non-competitive part, the audience can enjoy many famous names of brass instrument virtuosos, such as: Ljuba Perućica, Barka Brass Band, Timočki Veseljaci, Zlatne Trube (Golden Trumpets)... During the event, a rich accompanying program is organized: exhibitions, workshops, and more.
Knjaževac trumpeters are considered among the best in Serbia. Many of today's trumpeters learned and perfected their skills from them.

In the center of Knjaževac, on the plateau of the Cultural Center.
